Deck - Dynamic Displacement Sensor

Wirelessly monitor vibrations and movements in real-time!

This wireless sensor allows measuring the dynamic amplitude of the displacement with an accuracy of 0.01mm. You can easily set thresholds and get alerted when they’re exceeded. Whether you’re keeping tabs on a railway or bridge, Deck has you covered.

Wireless Tilt Beam

Wireless Tiltmeters are used to monitor the differential settlements of a structure by measuring the rotation of aluminium metal bars. They are typically installed in a series so that the end of a bar coincides with the beginning of the next until it covers the required distance.

Installation is quick and easy, and can be done on buildings, bridges, railways, and tunnels.

Wireless Accelerometer SHM

This device can measure acceleration on three axes with high resolution, making it ideal for pinpointing vibration frequencies. All of these Accelerometers SHM can be perfectly synchronised with each other.

With this data, you can perform modal analysis on structures such as bridges, buildings, and dams.

A gateway unit used in structural health monitoring

Gateway SHM

This control unit allows you to receive and send data, making it easy to keep track of everything that’s going on. Manage and communicate with dozens of devices and sensors at the same time with the wide-range communication protocol, LoRaWAN. Plus, all of your data is forwarded to online servers so you can access it from anywhere.

DS-SERIES DISPLACEMENT SENSORS

The DS-series sensors from ElastiSense are specifically developed for harsh environments to be able to continuously monitor a bridge, knowing exactly in what state it is at any given time. Its the easy and cost-effective way to sense position and displacement.

What is structural health monitoring?

Structural health monitoring (SHM) is a process that involves continuously monitoring the structural condition of various types of buildings, bridges, and other infrastructure to identify and predict potential damage or failure. The goal of structural health monitoring is to ensure the safety and reliability of the structure by detecting any changes in its behaviour, performance, or integrity, and taking timely corrective actions to prevent catastrophic events. This is achieved through the use of various sensors, data acquisition systems, and analytical tools that collect and analyze data on the structure’s response to various loads, environmental conditions, and other factors.

How Structural Health Monitoring saves you time and money

By continuously monitoring the condition of a structure, SHM allows engineers to detect any signs of damage or deterioration early on before it becomes a major problem. This enables them to take timely corrective actions, such as repairs or replacements, which can be less costly and time-consuming than addressing the problem after it has worsened. Additionally, SHM can help engineers optimize maintenance and inspection schedules, reducing the need for costly and time-consuming manual inspections.

By having real-time data on the performance and condition of a structure, engineers can make more informed decisions about how to allocate resources and prioritize maintenance and repair tasks. This can help prevent unexpected downtime and minimize the risk of catastrophic failure, ultimately saving time and money in the long run.
