Can You Prove What The Conditions Were Inside Your Chamber?

In test and measurement environments, the integrity of your data depends entirely on the integrity of the conditions it was generated under. A climatic chamber that displays the correct setpoint and a chamber that can document verified conditions throughout its working volume and UUT are not the same thing, and the difference matters when your results are scrutinised.

For a limited time, we’re including a complimentary AHLBORN ALMEMO® 202-S data logger with T&RH sensor with every qualifying GAAT climatic chamber purchase of 200 litres and above.

What the Standard Requires

International guidelines DAkkS-DKD-R 5-7 and IEC 60068-3-5 and sets out the minimum requirements for climatic chamber calibration and verification. For chambers up to 2000 litres, this means measurements at nine defined positions, eight at the corners of the useful volume and one at the spatial centre, capturing temperature at each point and calculating humidity distribution from the psychrometer reading at the centre cross-referenced with corner temperature data.

Radiation correction is also required, using two sensors with differing surface emissivity values to account for radiation influence on air temperature measurement.

The result is a calibration record that documents actual chamber behaviour, not assumed behaviour, across the full working volume under defined conditions. That record is what gives your test data its defensibility. And this is what Ahlborn can offer with their ALMEMO® measuring system for calibrating climatic chambers. This same equipment and procedure is utilized by TANDM engineers during Site Acceptance Testing during the commissioning process and for subsequent traceable calibrations and verifications.

Many times, engineers need to understand and measure the conditions around, inside or between the UUT/s. For this TANDM is including a complimentary AHLBORN ALMEMO® 202-S data logger with T&RH sensor. This allows engineers to understand how the UUT is responding during complex test cycles.

The ALMEMO® 202-S

The AHLBORN ALMEMO® 202-S is a professional V7 generation data logger and measuring instrument designed for exactly this class of application. It accepts two measuring inputs for AHLBORN’s full range of D6 and D7 digital sensors, supports up to 20 measuring channels depending on sensor configuration, and stores approximately 400 000 measured values in internal memory, expandable via SD card for larger data sets. It is field-portable with battery operation and available with DIN rail mounting for stationary installations. It is supplied with a digital T&RH sensor. Its remaining channel can ideally be used for a temperature sensor to measure UUT component surface temperatures.

From Installation, Not Retrospectively

GAAT climatic chambers are calibrated during factory acceptance testing. However, factory calibration reflects controlled factory conditions and does not account for installation environment, process loading, or the sensor drift that occurs naturally over time in any measurement system.

The Offer

Qualifying GAAT climatic chamber purchases of 200 litres and above include a complimentary AHLBORN ALMEMO® 202-S data logger with digital T&H sensor.

Offer valid until August 2026.
